What's the link between Faith and Desire? If you don't believe in the thing that you want then why want it? That's the obvious answer isn't?
However the link between Faith and Desire is their relationship to action. Faith and Desire are both authenticated or proven by Action. I remember as a boy hearing James Cullins talk about "wanting" to be the pilot of a VooDoo fighter. (That's what they called planes that flew faster than sound. You would see them and then hear them later.) Cullins remarked, "I said I wanted to fly a Voodoo fighter but didn't mean it. If I'd REALLY wanted to fly one of those planes I'd have joined the air service..."
If you REALLY WANT to loose weight you will change your eating habits and start exercising.
If you REALLY WANT to master a skill you will stop making excuses and repeat the fundamental movements and techniques.
If you REALLY WANT to learn something you will turn off the TV, silence your phone and study the topic.
If you REALLY WANT to be sober, break any compulsion or habit you will identify the environment that triggers the craving, behavior or response and you will avoid those at all cost and failing to avoid you will only enter those scenarios with a backup or bail out plan.
If you REALLY WANT...THEN YOU WILL DO.
